I saw your comment about noisy brakes and the $500 fix.

I just got an 08 Gallardo and the brakes squeal LOUDLY when coming to a stop. What is the fix?

Of course, Dealer says it is normal??

Clutch life can be short depending on driving habits, (can exceed $1 per mile)
Rear main seals leak
Other seals leak but not as badly
E-gear can take getting used to but at anything but creeping traffic, is a lot of fun
Rearward 3/4 visibility is very poor
If you want to change your own oil, the filter is very tough to get to
Brakes have been good
Tire wear has been acceptable
Best to stay on top of servicing
Electrics on early cars can be difficult - lots of systems communicating in strange ways
They get better with age if maintained properly
Air conditioning can be a bit weak
They require a lot of voltage to start. The batteries don't drain badly when sitting but If the voltage gets low after several starts, sometimes the transmission does not get the power it needs to mess around pre-start.
Each one has its quirks but once you know them, they are great cars.

Our 04 is about to turn over 38k miles. Still running strong!

i am also interested in the remark about brake noise and the fix for it.

is the transmission ratio improved in 2006 or 2005?

how does 2009 LP560 drive compare to 2006-2008 G?
