What happens when a Gt3 chases a ...
Bill, if my wife would allow it, and I could spring the extra jack, I'd be looking so seriously at a 360, silver, no question. That sound is unreal, and to view such a beautiful engine is just icing on the Italian cake. One day, I'll have that car, I imagine, perhaps when it is a pre-owned version of something like a 480 Modena or whatever size the displacement comes in at that era.
Until then, to me the GT3 seems like the bargain of the century. Great exhaust note (albeit not as good as the F-car), incredible performance, a real sleeper when put up against cars with much more hp and torque. Quite a few victories built on this car too.
RaveTT - I think he lost it because he accelerated right before the curve - he saw the lambo slow down, perhaps thought he could take him wide on the curve or something, then couldn't get it back because it was such a tight turn. I don't think PSM or AWD would have helped him there. With AWD he probably would have swiped the back instead of the front, and with PSM he may have made it, but he wasn't swinging wildly, just too fast, and I don't think PSM can adjust your speed when you are stupid accelerating into a tight curve.

Oak - not really - the Gallardo driver slowed down before the curve, with brakes, and the GT3 driver accelerated - PSM and AWD wouldn't have helped a stupid move like that.

Gallardo is faster than GT3. End of stroy. Drive both. Even in the times youve shown, the Gallardo has higher speed through the 1/4, shows its pulling harder up top. In the video you can watch the Gallardo pulling away from the Gt3. No ifs, ands or butts.
Okay, Allan - guess those times are just wrong. Shows 0-60 and 1/4 mile with the GT3 ahead in both tests, both magazines. And you know what, it really doesn't matter...
I think this thread is heading way off topic. The point is,the guy in the GT3 swiped the bridge and AllanLambo thinks that is funny? All because the lead car is a Lambo?
YOU SIR,ARE A TOTAL ***.

upon watching and LISTENING again to the video you can clearly hear and see the GT3 is not accelerating, what I see is the GT3 upon entering the corner is cearly out of shape way before the apex. This is where the PSM would kick in. Atleast from my personal experience.

Not that I'd go near the GT3 vs Lambo debate, I think the 996tt is better than both at altitude in adverse conditions (rain and snow) on roads that are poorly maintained (read bumpy). As someone mentioned, to each his own. I use my kart on the track.
He did post it in the Lamborghini forum. Perfect place for the video. As for the accident...well...that looks more like the drivers brain fade than a racing incident. Tires cooled off through town, a flat, dirt, too much throttle? It was hard to tell if it was understeer that pushed the car into the curb. Would love the drivers explanation.

Gee, 500hp pulls on 380hp in a straight line at high speeds.
No ****, sherlock.
It appears that the GT3 driver came in way too hot, instead of tapping the brake, setting up, and accelerating through the corner or using the right amount of throttle to neutralize the car. But who knows, even Schumacher crashes his F2004... does that make his F1 car inferior to the Renaults, Hondas and Toyotas?
Allan, your statements, as usual, are indeed quite comical and entertaining.
The next time I see a Lambo crash or catch on fire, we will all be sure to laugh and rub it in on your website, too. The only thing worse than Italian garbage is one with an Audi interior.

I happen to know most of the GT2 owners out here, and I'd love to hear about the dominance of the Lambos.
What canyons did you run? Interesting also that none of us, including the regular canyon runners, heard anything about your visit. I would have thought that you would have called us all out to show us how great your Murci is.
Gee, your visit to LA was surprisingly low-key. Doesn't seem like your modus operandus.
Hamann I told Allen to bring his Lambo and you and Metal Solid should show him a few of those Canyon Roads in the GT3's where the only thing he will be seeing is your tail lights...Allen is not an enthusiast who appreciates cars all he knows is his are the best...As well I am sure he can't drive to save his life..
