I think we may be counting the Ford GT out, but with how strong they are running at the mile events and with there rearward weight bias. I feel they have a traction advantage on the Viper and the Vette despite a displacement disadvantage. World watch out if someone builds a big cube 6.2 based big cube 4V Ford GT motor.
Im building two 358'' big bore Ford Gt's one with twin's 72's or bigger
and one with a Procharger F2. The Procharger car (IE MINE) is also going to have a 374'' short block done later this year. There are a few more Ford Gt's coming out with motor builds and fuel systems, 1400rwhp cars that is. They are going to stir the pot for sure, these cars work very well and hook very well, once someone applies some power to them they are going to hurt some feelings in the high hp supercar department.

The only "fire" happened at the Texas Mile 1.5 years ago during a high speed run. The car was being pushed hard at over 230mph when it happened. Oil got on the hot exhaust. The car is since back up and running fine. Couple years ago someone posted they heard a rumor that my engine blew up in one of my cars....but it was sitting in my garage the whole time w/o any issues. There are rumors about anything you want to hear about on the internet! Speaking of rumors, google "Elvis" and "alive". It's rumored he is alive and working as an undercover agent for the DEA. Wonder if it's true?
PS. Pretty much all UR customers belong to national forums. If something didn't come direct from a customer, you never know what's "rumored".

I see UGR runs this car in rwd only? I think its lame this car only runs on a private rented track that is probably prepped the whole way just for this car. Like i post on Viper Alley it would be nice to see them bring this out and race it infront of a crowd and awd like the rest of their customers cars. Then we could all be impressed even more.
Unlike a GTR, drag racing a TTG is not as predictable or repeatable. They really are built to be roll cars. Kevin wants to continue pushing the envelope and run 8's just for the hell of it. He knows it's capable with the right 60...but its something I doubt many (if any) of his customers will be able to duplicate.
All I can add here is that I can not wait to run Scott's car. Based on 'customer' 60-130 times, a Switzer GTR and a GTT R build are awfully close to each other. I have a feeling this is going to be an epic roll race. From a dig, I'll lose. From a roll, I hope to beat him. Obviously, I am a huge fan of Switzer and UGR and personal friends with Scott....so I want to keep the trash talking to a minimum....just a picture of Scott picking up my dinner tab will suffice.

I would be nervous taking my TTG to the drag strip against a high hp GTR, simply because of the GTR's consistency to get it done. A TTG is not "hard" to launch, it's just trickier and there's more room for error. A roll is pretty consistent though.

I believe the front diff gave out that day yet they kept running it....Kyle may know more specifics. So no....it was not by design.

TTG will be very difficult to get consistant back to back runs.
Make me an offer I can't refuse and it could very well happen.

have to agree. Similar high HP GT's (1400+) will definately shake up the pecking order. Hell, my 1026hp GT stacks up to 150-250 extra hp cars pretty well. Rear engine and rear weight bias is great for freeway pulls.

One thing about the GT-R's is the extra weight when comparing to the G's, right?
what does a GT-R weigh?
I am fairly certain the SL G's are low 3000's.
With the above being said I would think the GT-R's will need a little extra power to hang with the G's on the freeway.

I think it will difficult for the GTR's to catch UGR especially on a roll, Even if we see bigger powered GTR's in the near future. Kevin has more up his sleeve than 1550whp, with 1900whp+ already been shown on the rollers.
Stock curb weight for a GT-R is ~3800lbs. I'm assuming this is with fluids. A 570SL is right around 2954lb dry so I'd say with fluids it would be somewhere around ~31xx lbs. Even the heaviest Gallardo Coupe is only around 3300lbs.

I know there was some controversy about the one that reportedly had 1,600 rwhp and had that 266 mph run that was said to not be correct. But I thought it still did 252 mph verified at a mile event? I honestly believe a stroker twin turbo 5.4 is capable of every bit of the 1,900 rwhp the Gallardo's are capable of.
Don't forget the GTR has much better and closer gearing, faster shifting and no tractive force loss to the ground during shifts and better aero. Also above around 120-130 mph the affects of weight are falling off, its gearing.....Power...Power...Power and Aero.
The GTR has shown to be faster with less hp. but I think its going to take more displacement in order for the GTR's VR38 to make anywhere near the power the GTT's do.
