How many tuners build their OWN Twin Turbo kits for the Gallardo?

My search for a replacement car for my 996TT has put me on the quest for possibly a Gallardo. My question is simple... How many Tuners are building their OWN TT kits? I'm talking about nuts to bolts including tuning.... Also how many TT's have been built by each? I believe UGR has the most TT's running around.... I am going to lump in V10 R8's into this category since they are basically the same motor.

Here is my list of tuners with kits.....

UnderGround Racing
Heffner
Titan
Doug Levin

GMG?---> are building a TT R8 now....
Evoms? ---> I believe built a TT R8....

Lastly who has the best track record in terms or reliability? I know of one guy who sent his car to a tuner who actually blew the engine and somehow the car was engulfed in flames! All while in the possesion of the tuner.....YIKES!!!

Underground Racing is probably the answer you are going to get on this forum, but it is only because it is true, they currently hold all TTG records and have had 0 reported problems that I know of, and I am a forum addict . People are running cars overseas and anyone who is lucky enough to own a TTG praises UGR for their beautiful masterpieces.

No doubt UGR is KING in the TT Gallardo market. I was talking with someone the other day who has a TTG and he says that even UGR has had their share of engine issues/failures... This was personally the FIRST time I have ever heard of this but as you can see information varies quite a bit depending on who you talk to. I took this as a bit more credible since this person is very well known on the TTG scene and has one himself.....

That being said... I am currently hunting for a UGR TTG.... or looking to have them build me one as I think they are one of the best kits out there right now...

UR definitely hasn't had "it's share" of engine issues. I'm not sure what other tuner you would use as a benchmark to define a "share" (e.g., if you used the one being discussed in a couple of other threads right now apparently a share would be all of the ones it has installed). But Kevin has stated that the only engine issues they have had were at the TX Mile with the wick turned up about as high as it could go (I think 1 car) or street racing in Russia, and Lord knows how much boost those nuts were running and what fuel, etc. (1 or 2 cars there I believe). They have never had an engine issue on one of their "normal" builds, or even the extreme builds outside the conditions noted above. That's pretty amazing given how many cars they have out there now, IMO, and given that their "normal" builds are running around at over 1k whp on pump gas.

Jotech here in Dallas uses the Titan kit, and has done one customer car. Dallas Performance builds/tunes their own kit, and has one shop car, and two customer cars in progress. RSI is also wanting to get in the TT Lambo market, and has a car in progress.

Would love to TT mine, but too in love with driving it, to be without it for more than a couple of days.

We will be at 2x2k if anyone is up to some late night runs.

FYI, about reliability, we have over 70 cars out on the road at this time with aprox 40+ in the shop being built. We have NOT had a single engine failure, stage 1-3. Our stage 2 and 3 comes with a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty.

Anyone considering doing a TT build that is confused on where to send their TT Gallardo, I would visit the top shops and come here last, your decision will be very clear by the time you leave Underground Racing.

Not to change the topic of the thread, but is the R package the highest kit you provide? Or is there something else in the works with the Aventador?

lol

Everything we have leaned at that power level in the Gallardo engine is applied to our street engines.

That means, the same short block that we made 1900 whp is the same engine build that goes in all of our stage 2 and stage 3 builds. Now who else can say that?
