Project Miura at ITG
This beautifully restored Miura just came in for a complete engine rebuild. Every time we get one of these we can't help staring at this car, its magnificent lines, and possibly one of the best designs ever for an Italian supercar.

That's easy. The owner probably did one of the things that 60's and 70's Italian car owners fear most. They drove it like it was meant to be driven. That, or they just want a fresh rebuild to eliminate some suspect noises/running issues before they turn into a much bigger headache. The restoration could have been done ten or more years ago. Perhaps the OP could shed some light on this. One of the best looking cars ever. Those body lines...
We don`t really know the details. The car was restored by someone else and the customer sent it to us because the motor needs a rebuild. Maybe he just had the paint done at a place he trusts and sent it to us because we specialize in engine rebuilds.
Are there any upgrades/improvement that help the longevity/reliability of these engines when they are rebuilt? I remember when Jay Leno put a video of his, he commented that you couldn't corner too hard too long without oil pressure dropping due to the design of the sump. I'm all about originality, but I think there's some aspects of a car that should be improved so they can do what they were designed to which is: be driven.
