Gallardo Insurance Survey

Time to shop for insurance and wonder all G owners can help with the followig questions. Thanks.
How much are you paying for one year's insurance?
Which company?
And coverage restrictions (mileage, drive to work, etc.)?

I guess it all depends on your driving record and what "step" your on... Back in 2000 I was paying $1800 a year for my Diablo SV. I was a step 20 and living here in Boston, MA. I beleive I was using Commerce Insurance.

Im not a good data point since in Dubai insurance premiums depend SOLELY on the value of the car (sux I know)...I pay 7% on mine...

Does depreciation factor in over time? You guys from Dubai are probably the only guy who mildly enjoy when their cars value taking a hit.

You guys are really lucky..... Like msindi said we pay it as a % of our car value, right now I'm paying $8K USD for a Cayenne Turbo and my driving record is clean.

We're paying $2400 for our Office Corollas, with the Insurance companies laughing all the way to the bank!

why is mileage a factor... here in Boston I never heard of that... I pay $2100 a year and I have a perfect driving record (lowest point possible "step 9")

Same on the 996TT, $1600 a year, weird huh? I was expecting more on the G.

Basically you list it as a "weekend car" and save a few hundred more, I had the same coverage with my old 996TT and they never checked the mileage anyway.
