Thumbs up Joel's Dallas Performance Race Spec 1 at Texas Invitational * VIDEO *

While Joel isn't new to the Texas Invitational, this was Joel's first time in his Dallas Performance Superleggera twin turbo build. This Superleggera is equipped with our standard Race Spec-1 build. It has a true manual transmission which was a conversion we performed from the stock E-gear system. Joel also upgraded to our full billet transmission, larger turbos, and E85 fuel system. While we are flattered with the speculation that Joel’s car is anything other than what is listed above, the RS-1’s performance at TI is indicative of the time, performance, and value we put into each one of our builds. If you are interested in receiving more information about any of our Twin Turbo builds, including our Race Spec-1 (starting at $139,000) and Race Spec-2 builds (please inquire about a special offer for this build), please contact us, and we would be happy to set you up with a custom build to exceed your expectations.

We would like to thank the TSS staff for hosting the event and the preparation that it requires. Thanks to all of our customers who attended and raced. Thanks also to Pepper Yandell for his creative video work, featuring some races at the April 2014 Texas Invitational. We couldn’t be happier for Joel and his undefeated performance against a field of ultra fast cars at the Texas Invitational.

Car looks strong.

Would have liked to see a clean race between that DP orange TTG vs Mullet's and Cody's UGR TTG. Maybe next time..

LMAO Joel can wheel his car 110%. Forgot you did that at the end of the runway. Video is clean...great job Taylor and DP.

Speaking of clean, SC what do you mean by clean? There were all clean starts...if you meant full pulls then I agree but to say a "clean" race means that the ops car was doing something wrong?

OP car was doing nothing wrong, hence my comment of "car looks strong"

I just meant that had they been full on passes to the finish line, it would have been interesting to see what would have happened.

But a win is a win, no one is disputing that.

Congrats to all. Joel drove ***** to the wall out there in both of his cars. That's tough to do on a new build with the whole world watching. DP cars piloted by Trent, Robert, and David all did great as well.

Why weren't they not full passes to the finish line?

Anybody know why?

Thanks for all the kind comments gents.

DP did a great job on the ride and i'm happy with the results/performance.

I really didn't have much seat time but felt real comfortable with the 6speed mod after driving it around town. The gears felt great like stock.

The clicks/settings on the ride are easy to access/power with one click.

E85 is also a great choice with out paying $ on fuel. This is my 2nd G and it was a great decision to go with Dallas Performance. They delivered on the car's performance/results and design.

All in all - I'm excited with the results and cant wait until the next event is here.

It was great to race friends and have a good time.

Thanks

Joels car hauls the mail, can't wait to see how fast it is with even more seat time and boost. Dallas Performance definitely exceeded my expectation with my Stage 3 TTG. I already can't wait until the next event!

I lost my clutch and I think Mullet had similar problems as well.

The UGR TT Gallardo were having problems... It's obvious.... So that was a clean race!

I will love to see a clean race! My money is on UGR... Maybe next time they should race Kevin (the green 05 Gallardo)

Kevin's car broke in the first race of KOTS, otherwise they possibly could have lined up during competition. The ladder in KOTS works with the slowest car racing the fastest car in the first round. Ever subsequent round, the person at the bottom of the ladder races the person at the top of the ladder, so it's anyone's guess who ends up racing who.
