R888 Heat Cycling Out

Seeing as how most all of the UGR (and other builders) TT cars seem to be delivered with Toyo R888, I wanted to get a feel for whether the owners are seeing their tires heat cycle out (and lose appreciable grip) with PLENTY of tread still remaining?

I've heard them to do this but wanted to ask for experience prior to buying a set that I will be heat cycling very often as they will be a weekend joy ride car.

Any feedback would be appreciated...

Yes they will heat cycle out. I use to run them in American iron road racing and we stop running them cause they would heat cycle out to fast. No on my tt Gallardo they work great but if u are racing a lot get ready to buy a few sets a year.

So you are saying that the typical heat cycle as generated by street driving or highway rolls isn't "enough" heat to heat cycle them out and the set on your Gallardo has lasted and is still sticky?
