what did you use for the inside (where the new "roof is" because i see some detail)?

nice work.... blured and highpassed b/w background looks nice

overall very impressive

The roof was constructed cutting and pasting little parts from the windshield, then merging the layer and touching up with my favourite tool of all times - Clone Stamp Tool.
