Can You Daily Drive A Gallardo??

I am trying to gauge the reliability of the car...

It wouldnt be EVERY day but say 4 days a week, 15 miles a day with the occasional long trek here or there...

Potential replacement/upgrade to a SL500

Sure, especially in Florida.

Just make sure you get an orange one with the real gearbox. They're the most reliable.

They are better suited as a daily driver than a Murci. If you will be driving it often then I recommend a subtle color, ie. black, silver, white versus the orange or lime green. But if your seriously contemplating it their are a lot of threads on www.lambopower.com

Thanks for the headsup...I probably should of done that first but I didn't think this would have been discussed that extensively!

I think the gallardo is very reliable and mildly easy every day vehicle. If you won't get annoyed with all the highway tag-alongs, gawkers, etc...

I live in Sarasota, own a green SE 6 speed; no way I would want it as a daily driver. Too much traffic! If you get one for daily use don't get an egear, and stick with the standard suspension, there is a big difference in ride comfort between the two. The sport suspension is tight; great for tracking for sure, but you will feel every bump.

From a reliability standpoint the G has been terrific, better than my daily beater. 5k on it and so far not a single problem. Great car!

Drove my SE daily for about a month and sold it. No, it really can't. My problem wasn't so much the car and I didn't have any issues my problem was the attention it drew. So much so I would have to allow extra time to go anywhere! I am serious the attention and being scared to park it a lot of places made daily driving very difficult. The car is up to it though, just not the attention that comes along with it
