"This is why the mid-west rules?"

interesting article on how BancAmerica being HQ in charlotte encountered resistance from upper level mgrs when moving them from san fran. they now love it.

people from there and NYC-Conn-Jersey love it and consider themselve in the middle of the action. my family is from brooklyn (now todt hill). we moved in the late 70's to the midwest. they love it - and u couldn't pay me to live there.

LOL, didn't even notice but it is a POS area. My zip code is the largest in SI (10314) and covers close to 500K people but Manor Heights sucks!

Not so much the ****box as the property its on due to the area it is in. 20 mins from Manhattan (w/no traffic), best school district in the city and property taxes much lower than neighboring Nassau County. Once it sells, and it will, they will knock it down a put up something like thishttp://www.mlsli.com/uniDetails.CFM?...start=1&rpp=20
Maybe not this big but you get the point. F@%kin crazy right?

Here is what you get 30 miles South of me for only $1M. Makes me want to cry that this house is only worth $350K more than mine.

The thing is location in NY with regards to Manhattan. I can be on Wall St. with no traffic in 17 minutes. This place is about an hour away.
