It does seem like a rough place to own such vehicles.

 

I was in Moscow in 2004, saw a bunch of exotics, including a couple of Gallardos, first ones I had ever seen. There is a lot of money in that town. The top dogs had these blue flashing lights they would stick on the top of their bimmers, benzs, etc and just breeze thru traffic, which was horrendous.

yeah, the roads there are horrible. i know lots of people who can get a lambo but would drive nothing else except G-wagen or X5

 

there is a lot of money there, no question -- but i think the contrast of rich vs. poor is what makes it stand out even more.

as for "migalki" as these blue flashing lights are called -- its very common, but lately even they dont help with the traffic in there. i was stuck in the car for 4+ hours on August 31st on the route which usually takes 30 minutes. the whole city was grid-locked. can't move. check out:

I did note another thing about rich moscovites.... arrogant ******; no manners, rude to their "lessors", pushy and abrasive showoffs too. The regular folk seemed to have pretty thick skins, because they took the crap dished out to them stoically....

It sound like you just dont like russians to begin with (probably got your ***** taken from you by one of us and now holding a grudge huh?)

i didnt find anything in his posts that show ignorance or negativity toward our culture. everything he said is spot on. about arrogance of rich folks, about average people, etc...

your post on the other hand portrays russians as un-educated and simply hostile. btw, its a classic of a 2nd post. way to make friends.

 

there is good & bad in every culture. the russians i have met have been really nice. :-) I always want to go to moscow & st. petersburg. Hope one day soon.
