Apparently the deal (acceptance period) has already come and gone as of the end of May. So no new shares have actually changed hands and both companies hold the same stakes as they did prior to any offer.

According to this, the deal died when Porsche offered .6% for each VW share. The deal died but apparently Porsche is not letting up according to my other source posted. If you missed it, click here.

I heard the same....if it's true, perhaps with all of Toyota's money we will see Lamborghini with a REAL chance at racing....it will be interesting to see.

Are you reffering to F1/IRL, LeMans or both?

Robert,I agree..Toyota has the resources to finance one hell of a race team.

they would definatly be wary considering their performance in F1 and the amount of money they are throwing into that.

toyota will figure it out sooner or later. with the amount of resources at their disposal, its only a matter of time. lets just hope they stick with it.

and they can make a sports car if they really want to. case in point, MKIV Supra
