I let each section dry for about 20-30 minutes. They recommend between 2 mins and 2 hours. I found that if you wait too long it becomes harder to get the excess paint off. Closer to 2 minutes and the paint may not "hold" in the rock chip.

After 20 minutes passed, I grabbed the sealact blending solution provided and poured some on an old tee shirt. After light rubbing you can literally see the paint blend in, amazing! Immediatly after I wiped with the provided microfiber cloth.

After wiping with the microfiber cloth I was amazed when I stepped back and looked at the results.

The road rash "think hundreds of small chips" is entirely removed. The larger rock chips are still visible up close but are the color of the car without the "blobs" you get with using touch up paint. My only concern with that is will wax fill in those crevaces.

If you step back two feet, the car looks brand new. The pictures I took were with the flash on and show all imperfections. It looks better in natural light!

In summary, I will be getting some for my Aston Martin and rate it an 8.5/10.

Eric

Great job Eric...thanks for the very detailed process write-up. I may get this product to try out and possibly recommend to our clients.

Just returning the favor Moe. I have learned a lot from you and others.

I will be putting this on my Aston Martins side mirrors and top of the rear fenders before having them covered.

Impressive, thanks for sharing your results in detail. I need to do this to my Lexus as well.

I tried the kit. Didn't work very well for me.

It's only marginally better than touchup paint since it doesn't leave a blob. However, it still leave a crater. If your chips are tiny (1mm or less), then it'll work well. But my chips are all around 2-3mm.

awesome info! The price is actually not bad at all! I think I paid about $45 just for touch up paint at the mb dealer.

Yep, unfortunatly the larger chips just fill it in per my review at first.

However, I have since noticed that if you get really creative with the big chips (I dripped a small blob in the large chip on my Aston-let it dry in then filled around it). It took several applications but was a huge chip and is now flat.

You need patience and time but its 95% now on my Aston. Its completely invisible from 2+feet
