I also have no clue why they have changed the name, but the color is exactly the same. A couple of weeks ago, there was a silver Cayman at my dealership with a Garnet red interior (according to the sticker). On the car's dealer spec sheet was the name "Carrera red". However, it looked exactly the same as a second hand 991 with Carrera red interior that was also in the showroom.
