Are AMG's Like Bricks in a Pond?
There's 2005 CL65 on Ebay with only 300 miles that has a BIN for 95k, MSRP was 183k. On the one hand, you can say it's a great deal but what's to say that in one year with 10k miles on it, the trade in will won't be in the 60's?
It probably is due to the lack of limited production. Also, the market for these in the used market isn't goo great. Most that can afford it, prefer to buy new, leaving a void in pre-owned market.
Good for those of us who don't mind buying a slightly used one!

My 2 cents -only way AMG will not drop as fast is Merc needs to start limiting production - seems Merc has an AMG version of every line

There is a 35k mile 05' CL65 for sale here for $72grr, I'm about to auction my left nut for that.
I feel bad for the poor bastard that paid over 2 bills for that thing a couple years ago. Losing $130k in what could have been 2 years is brutal.

I just don't think you guys are in tune...
with the reality of the large $$ used car market at the moment. It is just plain tough. Yes, there are too many AMG cars, Mercedes cars, and just about every car in the marketplace at this moment. It's been coming, but the last 60-90 days has been brutal. As I've been saying for the past two years or so, there is just TOO much product in the market. Until that supply/demand situation eases, the depreciation problem won't get better. Absolutely will buy lightly used the rest of my life, unless my circumstances change drastically.
