I am looking to purchase a 2005/2006 CL65 with under 25K miles in the next month. Does anyone have any advice on what to be wary about (aside from brick-like depreciation and warranty)?

Just sold 06 S65 and taking delivery of 06 CL65 on tuesday.

Make sure the car has a clean car fax and check the service history. Have the car inspected for paintwork. Also, you never want to own this car without a warranty

 

+1 they arent cheap to fix, you will get the normal Benz electrical gremlins that can eat you out of house and home if you didnt have a warranty, these cars also have some intermittent suspension issues that said this platform is solid mechanically.

 

i have an 06, black, black all options 34k miles that i would sell. car is perfect, no issues, no paint

Where did you find the 2006? I have been tracking every CL65 for sale in the country. What are the details (color, options, mileage and price if you don't mind me asking)?

I am trying to stay under 25K miles but the right car might make me change that. How much are you looking to get? What was the placed in service date? Are you the first owner? If so, maybe we could work something out with you purchasing a MB Starmark warranty and transferring to me immediately before the sale.
