Rapidly falling prices: CLK63 Black for <$80k
Speaking only from my experience of owning 4 MZB's. Can sum it up like this:
- Once you own one you will always have one.
- Great cars for what they are.
- However, as nice as they are they just don't hold any value! Especially, once off the warranty period.
As for the CLK-BS, very nice car and would love to own one at these prices. As with most MZB's, count on the prices to keep on sliding. Economy of course is not helping.

These are sweet rides and getting more attractive at these prices. Limited supply might help support pricing but I think the economy will trump that and continue to drive these prices down with other higher end cars.
Yeah definitely not going to get a return on this car, but if you want the car that is an amazing price. I never though I would see 3 year old X65 AMG cars selling for under 70k and those were very limited production as well. My brothers CL600 is an amazing car for the money and I can't believe who much you can pick up one of those for!
No disrespect to the posters holding optimistically for prices to hold but imo they are dreaming. 3 years from now they will be high 50's cars at best, unless the economy turns 180 degrees.
There are very few modern cars that will ride out the next two years w/o major price hits. If you are truly concerned about depreciation, buy a classic. Of course you can't drive it as a daily so that leaves you with two options. Buy it and bear the hit or try and find a performance car you can enjoy and appreciate that has taken the big hit already.
Of course, the latter is what I thought I was doing when I picked up a 996tt a few months ago

This is a great car, especially at today's prices.
What color to I get?

And yes, they seem to be a lot of car. Isn't it a great time to be a gearhead with so many awesome choices at such good prices.
Enjoy the ride!
Better deals are not too far away on all of them!
Buy now and enjoy or wait for the perfect deal?
I vote for instant gratification.
