i asked the same question on the audi forum. trying to decide which car to buy for my wife- audi q7 tdi or diesel GL Merc. What do you think of the GL? we want a suv with 3rd row seating, stylish and improved fuel economy. Pros and cons of GL and Q7? thanks

Last month my wife got an ML Bluetech. We love it. Took it on our first road trip to North Carolina from Florida. I like the torque in the mountains, diesel fuel was 30-40 cents cheaper per gallon compared to premium, and on the way home, running 80-85 it got a little over 27 mpg. At slower speeds we saw 29. I don't know if it will change much after it's broken in.
