Looking to get a new DD and can't make up my mind. Looking for a fast sedan in the $25k+/- range. I live in NY and commute 60miles total per day highway. I don't necessarily need awd as I have an SUV for bad/winter weather. How is the auto in the C55? I have never owned a Benz, I have owned Audi and BMW and loved both. Give me pros and cons of both, looking to make a purchase in the next month or two. Thanks!

 

C55 one of the best DD I've had. I had one for 35k which is a long time for me.
Great mileage for the performance over 21 mpg city and hiway. Auto trans was fine.
Bullet proof motor and comfortable interior.

i would take the S4 though it has awd which is very practical in the winter. Plus it will handle better than the C55 as well. C55 might be faster in a straightline but the 4.2L V8 in the audi is an master piece as well.

 

I pretty much made up my mind and will be getting the C55. I see at least 4-5 S4's per day and can't remember the last time I saw a C55. I loved my B5 S4, so I am a big Audi fan, Just want to go a different route since I never owned a benz. I have an X3 for the winter/bad weather and I want something that can spin the tires....
