CLK Black series

Hey guys, I haven't seen many Blacks on here.. Or much info about them in terms of reliability etc.

Any insight? All I know for sure is that this has to be one of the best looking cars I have ever seen imo.

I just picked mine up with 3,300 miles in fantastic condition for $83k. There is one even nicer than mine up on Ebay right now for about $89K. Great car, but doubt you are going to "steal" one of these from anyone, as it seems the market has bottomed out and even starting to rise on this car.

I am seriously eyeing one that's sitting at 82k and has 7k miles on it. They are just something else.

Either your mistaken or the dealer is smokin! With 24K on the clock the current market is approx 70K

They indeed are, and if it's the color you want, you should go for it !!

$70k may be a bit low but $110k is most certainly way the fock out of the realm of reality...

How would it do as a DD? Or is this purely a track car in your opinion?

Don't confuse asking prices with actual selling prices. There are immaculate cars out there with under 10K miles that can be had for approx. 75K. So where do you see the market on a 24K mi example?

I don't think many use this car as a DD, although I think it is perfectly suited for such. I have never had or owned a "track car", so can't comment on that but guess the car would do okay on the track, although fairly heavy in comparison to a Porsche let's say.

You won't find a "white" car with under 10k miles in great condition for $75k, I tried for no less than 8-9 months.

There are quite a few black and silvers out there that can be had in that $75k-$85k range, just depends on what you are looking for.

The car does just fine as a daily driver although it certainly depends on what you are used to. I have owned my BS for over 2.5 years and use it as my DD in the northeast (except in the snow) and I personally find it more comfortable to drive daily then the porsches or ferraris I have owned before. It is certainly not purely a track car, hence all of the interior creature comforts. It is meant to be a car that will perform very well both at the track and on the road, basically a more comfortable GT3.

Thank you for your responses. I am certainly not used to a P or F car. But I would like to have something different. I've looked at M6's, S5's, GTR's etc. Was waiting for the new RS5 to make its way over the pond but from what I've been reading in the German mags it's not what I was hoping for.

I've always loved the CLK63 BS but it was well out of my reach when it was released. Now it's a different world and I'm thinking that this would be a perfect car for me to have fun with.

There's also the exclusivity factor that is highly appealing to me and my elitist ways, lol.
