Dad's SL63 has some frustrating stalling issues

Just going to describe this and see if anyone has heard of this. The car is having an issue with the clutch where it wants to disengage all the time. If you slow to a stop and hit the brakes the car will stall. Other times when trying to accelerate from a stop, you'll have to get off the brakes and on to the gas ASAP or it will stall (still bogs quite a bit).

It was at the service department and the manager even took it home, but they couldn't replicate the issue. I suppose at the time it was only happening every so often, but it's far worse now.

Recently I was taking it to pick up some food to test it out, and I literally couldn't get it into reverse or drive w/o it stalling. I tried restarting it a few times and trying to get it going, but it wouldn't. After a few tries in a row, the car wouldn't select anything other than neutral, and I finally got a check engine light. It was towed to another service dept. recently, so hopefully now with some fault codes they can try to see what's wrong.

As a weird aside, when the car is really acting up, it also won't allow you to lock it using the key fob. I have to manually lock the doors.

Yeah it got flatbedded out there on Friday. It's a 2009 which was the first year of the dual clutch (with facelift), so I'm not as surprised.
