Lets talk intercoolers heat exchangers rear tanks pumps and the Texas mile.

Jerry and the Crew at Eurocharged decided to run my CLS at the Texas mile for ****s and giggles. the car went 171 on its second pass and there were heat soak issues. Id like to hear your collective ideas on how to better prepare the car for October. Currently the car has the Dyno-Comp monster heat exchanger and upgraded pump for cooling mods..
So, I am not sure about the design of your MB and Supercharger. However, if the blower is aluminum atop an iron block, heat soak is gonna be a big problem.
You need to lower your IAT temps to optimize performance and maintain consistent boost. In the mustang crowd - 03 Cobra and GT500, there are several companies that offer larger IC reservoirs, active cooling products, and Methanol injection. There are several companies that may be able to help you with your application...such as Snow Performance.
I hope this isn't redundant information. Nice job at the mile. Beautiful MB.

^^what i was going to say, and some better shrouding probably to radiator/intercooler/pipes/intake. also look into e85 or meth/water injection. Both will cool down your charge, e85 is also 105 octane if you didn't know that, cheap as hell race gas, with a low propensity for knock.

Yes , I'm interested in head porting but u hear different opinions from tuners about the advantage of head porting related to power and boost for 55 engines . Head porting isn't cheap , the right porter with experience with mercedes heads , these are not some GM,Ford , Chrysler heads ,, that come cheap. Some tuners say the HP gains aren't worth the expense , better intercoolers produce more power for the dollar ,,, so your in the for front ,, Supra

Porting of heads and matching all unions within both the induction and exhaust system on one engine of two will reduce the heat loading of said engine at the same power level..........or cause one to make more horsepower at both the same boost and temperature as the unported engine.
I don't ignore any part of optimization.
This also applies to car aero.
We had splitter strength issues at 220mph so I simply suggested we remove it and it's been fine over 260mph.
Your results may vary.
