There will be no body style changes to the G. There will however be the addition of the GL which you are refering to. They have gauranted production unitl at least 2010!!

 

put a wing on it. it might help the aerodynamic.

I bought an '05 - they come with a little numbered plaque - the dealers are saying that this is the last of the hand built cars out of Austria. Would they be making them somewhere else or something?

The G is more of a work hours than the ML - loads of power but the gearing is really low. You can pull stumps with it.

Mine has 25k on it and as far as reliability I have had no problems whatsoever. Besides a few minor squeaks and rattles it has been pain free. They are amazing vehicle on or off the road. As far as mod's I havent found too many things to add besides the usual stuff like chip, headers and pulley. Mine is an 05 and when I bought mine Benz said it wasnt making anymore I was glad when I found out they wont stop production after all.
