My understanding is that there was only one Premium Edition GL allocated per dealership.

I love the GL. MB must be selling a lot of these, they're everywhere!

Good luck. Don't get the Escalade.

I called Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach and no Premier Editions. They have one GL optioned out that way that I want but in a different color and even that one is reserved for a friend of the guy that owns the dealership. I think I will give Fletcher Jones in Fremont a call because I am actually going to SF on Saturday. However, I would think that Fletcher Jones Newport Beach would have mentioned that they had one in Fremont if they actually had one. I told them I was 2.5 hours away from them and they said that they would flatbed the car to me with the paperwork if they had it in stock.

Jeez, I wish I could even get an Escalade if I wanted one! Since the outlook on the GL is poor, I thought I might go with the Escalade and it turns out that all 8 of the black/black fully loaded up Escalades that I located are sold. This happens to me everytime I am interested in a car. It's a sign that I shouldn't buy it but then it makes me more determined to get it!

I wouldn't say "lust" but it certainly is a nice SUV. To be perfectly honest there is no urgency to this deal. BUT, we are going away for the 4th and it would be nice to take the GL instead of the Sienna.

If the deal doesn't go down, I won't exactly be crying but at the same time all urgency will be gone and I may not even want to deal with it when I get back. Since the Denali just sits around anyways (it's so bad that I have to put it on a trickle charger), it won't hurt for it to sit until GLs become readily available.

I may even change my mind and get the Escalade after all. The only thing I have against the Escalade is that the ESV does not look right. The proportions are all off because the rear wheels are set further back and the overhanging rear with slab sides makes the SUV look like a 4WD station wagon.

It would be really nice if a PE became available in SoCal. I would much rather have obsidion black instead of straight black despite the nano-paint.

The GL is approximately $68,XXX up to $70,XXX. Not leasing it I don't know what the deal is on that.

You know you are right I looked at the window sticker of the GL that is incoming for me and it is $69,285. That is with everything else and no rear entertainment.
