fayence has a R63. It looks very sweet. I like the R63AMG. I think there are under 1000 ones in the USA.
And gt2-josh has an E63 wagon. Very nice cars.

I got an E500 wagon, (or had, actually) and drove an E63 recently for comparison. Wasn't very impressed wth how it handled. Very vague and way too powerful for its chassis - a bit like a Zündapp moped with a 500cc engine. I would pick the R63 any day.

By the way, the E63 Wagon is almost the exact same money as an S8.... why some people choose the MB is just beyond me.

Jox - Maybe because they need the wagon, or if it's a second car, the handling isn't as crucial.

No production numbers on the 63's have been released by AMG ... at least not that I can find. Supposedly it will be early '08 before release.

I haven't seen the R 63, but drove a ML 63AMG this weekend and loved it. Beautiful and very well balanced for power and handling in a SUV. It will be my wife's next car for sure.

I'm undecided. I really want to, and have quite a few vacation days to use...

How is the skiing/snowmobiling? Maybe a winter trip might be fun.
