Hey Guys:

I was driving in Newport Beach, CA today (S 63) when I ran across an MB S Class...it was badged S "55" AMG...unless I am missing something, there is no such car...just want to verify with the MB enthusiasts...if it was a fake, truly pathetic!!!

 

Maybe they took off the 0 from S550?

It's bad enough that somebody was so insecure that they rebadged their $100k sedan to look like a $145k sedan, but to be cheap about it and remove a "0" rather than buy a whole new S63 emblem set. That's effen !

 

i once saw an older s class (prob a 430) with s600 badge on the back - an AMG badge on the other side (no 600 is an AMG car) a V12 badge on the side (no exhaust pipes, no different rear bumper) a new set of ugly chrome wheels and a very insecure black man looking every which way through the tinted glass.... why oh why?!

 

I am guessing if you are referring to the new S-class (W221) then I am sure it's from S550 without 0

^^Yes, referring to the new S-Class (W221)...the prior model did have a 55 version, but this was definitely a W221 model...

 

Saw a S430 with an AMG badge on the back in Dallas a few months ago. Wanted to confront the driver but my wife said no.

 

I see a few MBs with the AMG badge, I think some dealerships put them on because of the AMG package?

mecedes is prone to the fake badging more than any other car brand. i have seen so many fake "amg"s that i don't even bother anymore.

the worst one i have ever come across was a c230 sports sedan wearing /////AMG on the LEFT side and KOMPRESSOR on the right side of the trunk. *sigh*
