isn't the phone sold without a contract for 599 or something?

You do not need a contract with AT & T.

The phone is currently in a sealed box and came straight from AT & T, and I believe it is not unlocked.

I haven't checked the actual prices from ATT/Apple to buy without contract but would imagine it's a lot higher than $599...I think a coworker just mentioned for him to upgrade (not eligible yet) he would have to pay close to $600...

you can buy the phone for alot cheaper then that even if your not due for an upgrade.

If you can buy it at $599 then that is great. There are reasons why these are trading for more than $599.

In any case, it was SOLD at my asking price.
