Triports are fine..I bought them for a long plane ride and was very happy with them...Hard to beat for the $..While SHures might be better...it's all how they feel in your ear...I like the old school fit of the Triports...
I found that for a long plane ride, I prefer the 'bigness' of the Bose style headphones..I compared the Shure E4's and they might have been better but for me I dont care that much...there is so much background noise on planes, etc. Comfort was a high priority and the Triports were surprisingly good..
The Shures might be much better...but didn't matter to me for this purpose..

I have a pair of Bose QuietComfort 2 headphones that I would get rid of. Used only on plane rides, excellent condition - comes with carrying case and warranty cards (+ fresh AAA batteries).
PM if with an offer since I don't know exactly what they are worth in the market.

I have a mint set of Sennheiser NoiseGard HDC 451 in great shape with box, manual and extra plug adaptors. These are the small lighter on the ear type. Have only used during air travel.
I interested PM me.
Thanks

I really like mine. They take a bit to break in (50hrs or so), but afterwards they're very easy listening. Heavy on the bass and slightly lacking in the mids, but worlds better than Bose phones would be.
I'm not really sure if I would sell mine, but if you're interested maybe I could send them out on loan to you or something. If you go with the Beyers, make sure to find the older DT-770 (look like the photo I posted) and the 80 ohm version. There was a 250 ohm version, but that is made to be run off of a headphone amp.
