Looking to buy a verizon razr. verizon told me $259. ihave a friend who works for them and says they are not great and can get me one for "under $200". i still want one so if anyone has one please PM me or reply to this. Thanks.

 

If you can find one for under $200 thats a great buy. I have been watching ebay and even very used ones go for over 200....

 

I have two and can verify that they are not that great. But, they are by far the easiest phone to carry around in your pants pocket and its decent in terms of call quality and features.

 

My service is up in a couple of weeks and was looking at the V3C and V3M, which both carry the same price. What features of the phone do you consider "not that great"? Do you think it has to do with the phone only or the service provider? I'm going to go with either Cingular or Verizon. Thanks

 

Primarily I don't like the phonebook/datebook but think any interaction with the phone, previous calls, settings, voice dial, bluetooth connectivity are all marginal to use.

As far as actually making phone calls, clarity, signal strength, speakerphone I think it works fine and as I mention its is very easy to pack around.

I've tried 3 different RAZR's and it's the worse phone I've ever owned in terms of reception, hands down, no contest. I have service through Cingular but it's not the service bc my Blackberry is with Cingular and the reception is great in places the RAZR sux. But that's just my personal experience. It is very convenient bc of it's size though.
