The guy at competitive was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a quote on the camera, extra battery, memory, quick charger and remote. It probably took him 15 seconds. For the camera itself, this was the lowest price I could find from a place that I could trust 100%. (Even my local place which I've bought $1000's from was a little higher, plus I would have to pay sales tax.) The accessories were not rock bottom, but they were on the lower end of the spectrum. I went with this other place because it was significantly cheaper and they had good feedback with over 10,000 reviews. We'll see, it's on the UPS truck as we speak and should be here soon.

i got pretty inpatient today. i drove to canago camera today and bought one in the store. i got the D50 body only, and a tamaron lense for 18-200. derrick was great. did cost me a lot, but feels great. charging battery now, will start playing with it immediately.

 

trovan, you're like me - impulse buyer. once i get the bug in my butt, i have to have it! i'm stopping by canoga camera today to get all the accessories (extra batteries, memory) for the d200. by the way, can anyone recommend a nice telephoto lens? i have a 70-300, but want something that can zoom a bit more.

no one got the camera. this was just a "cry for help" by mr. kram.

 

you can get a 2X multiplier that fits between the lens and the body...also pick up a macro lens...those things are really suhweet!
