Question: diff between japanese ps3 and US ps3?

Question: diff between japanese ps3 and US ps3?
Are there any compatability issues? I may be able to import a few. I initially tried to bring in some Japanese xbox 360's but they don't work on US tvs for some reason.

My guess is they're different...the Jap ps2s could only play import ps2 games...Probably the same case for the ps3

that's what i heard too... all hd-dvd & blu-ray discs are supposed to be region free....

The 1 difference is voltage...Japan is 100v and US is 120v..but from what I hear the PS3 is made in 110v, so should not be any issues.
