More like investigating, weighing my options, and possibly buying. All of you guys posting your amazing pictures on here has piqued my interest in the area of photography. Wondering if anyone has anything up for sale at the moment? Thanks.

I too was looking for an DSLR and I must say the best bet is go to Circuit City. They tend to have a lot of open boxe DSLR for sale, just ask them if you don't see it. I just picked up a Canon 30D for $650, that's more than 1/2 off retail. It was just returned 3 days ago.

I lucked out and bought a 6speeders Canon Digital Rebel and all of his accessories...bag, extra lens, battery grip, extra battery, lens filter, etc.
I got a great deal on it and would consider selling it, with all the accesorries, plus the one's I have added. (instructional DVD, etc)
PM me if you have not bought something yet, this camera is a great first SLR, I love it. I have used it for alot of work stuff and it's paid for itself time and time again.
I have a Canon RebelXT, the accessory battery grip, and the following Canon EF lenses: 50/1.4, 17-35/2.8L, 70-200/2.8L, 1.4X and 2X extenders. I chose these lenses for quality, speed and versatility (L lenses are unsurpassed in optical quality). Everything is in mint condition and will include all the original boxes and hard leather lens cases. I also have extra batteries and B+W or Heliopan filters for all the lenses, including polarizing filters (around $100 each). Also extension tubes for macro photography. I never use this equipment so I'm going to sell it. Originally spent over $5000. Will take $3400.

Welcome to the world of DSLR, you'd love it.
I don't have anything for sale right now, but it seems that you're doing a bit of R&D. It really depends on what you'd like to do really? If you like to just take a snapshot and do nothing else with it, then any entry level Nikon or Canon will do you fine. If you like to play with aperture, iso, shutter speed, metering, etc, then you'd probably wanna go more manual-ish camera like the D200 or 30D. I state that because if you plan to get a feel into an entry level DSLR and gradually move up but your goal is to actually become a semi pro photographer, then just buy a that type of camera right off the bat. It will be a big investment especially if you want to get many great lenses along with it, but heck...it's fun.
If your goal is to just point and shoot, easy auto no hassle shooting, then save your money then go with a D50, D40X or something like that.

Just today, I picked up a spotless Nikon D70 for less than the cost of a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label... It was superceded by the D80, but this this is FAR beyond my photographic capability. I was shopping for a D80, but once I played with one, then played with the D70, there was absolutely no reason to pay the extra for a D80.
I highly recommend fredmiranda forums
