MD shop recommendation for V1 hardwire and Laser Jammer
MD shop recommendation for V1 hardwire and Laser Jammer
Hello guys,
I'm new to this forum and I just found this forum while shopping for GT3. Now that I have finally gotten my Slate Grey GT3, I need to hardwire V1 and laser jammer.
I would like to see if anyone can refer me to a shop that can professionally install them in MD area.
I live in Clarksville, MD and it would be nice to find a place nearby. but I'm open to driving longer distances to get it done right the first time.
Thank you!
Oh, btw, I did search the forum, but couldn't find any answers related to my specific questions.

I don't know how far you consider a "long" drive, but we do V1 installs for plenty of 997's and we can etch it into the mirror and fully integrate the V1 as well as a laser jammer. If you have any questions please feel free to call or PM me, then I can provide you with photos.
Call Jim Evans @ 443.253.2315 (c) or 410.282.2315 (O). He will come to you or meet you somewhere. He did a very professional job on my 997 a few months ago. It will take only about half an hour. His web site is www.carphoneguy.com

Thank you for the response. I think CT might be too "long" of a drive for installation
It would be nice to go to a nice "shop" instead of someone just doing it for side job. Sure he/she can be good, but I'm thinking of possibly custom fabricating a housing for remote display for V1 and jammer on/off switch for more factory look...
Anymore referrals?
btw, I emailed Jim Evans. Thank you for the contact info.

I got the Blinder M25. I'll let you know how well it works. It seems like from all the reviews, it works the best...

So once you hardwire it, you can't take it to any other car. How about if you need to quickly disassemble it?
I did my angel eyes with these guys. They know wiring and, work fast. performancetechnik.com

Thanks for the info. I've already had it hardwired it with a custom panel. I also have a separate cig adapter I could use for my M3 when I need to use V1. As far as my GT3 is concerned, I'm keeping it for life
