Relocating to the DC area on Jan 31st

Hi everyone, I have been on this board from some time now but have always stayed in my own region. As of this coming Sunday my wife and I are relocating from Tampa, FL to the DC area.

We really know no one in the area but have been through this relocation game before. I am just looking for information on what type of get togethers people in this region have or local events I could get involved with.

We are bringing our 3 cars with us. They are 2001 Porsche Carrera 4, 2001.5 Audi S4, and my daily driver is an 02 VW Jetta Wagon.

I look forward to getting out an about in this area just as soon as we get settled.

- Troy

Work is why we are going moving to the area. We are looking to move to the Leesburg area. It is very much like the area of Tampa we live in now.

Where do most events and get togethers occur in the DC area?

Thanks

All over the place - WV (Summit) to VIR (BFE Virginia). We do everything from shooting ranges to drives to New York. The typical weekend meet-ups normally happen in Tysons corner (for the VA guys that is).

That's great! We have a pretty active crowd here in Tampa too. I had actually organized an Auto Cafe event which has been going since June. It is basically a Cars and Coffee event which are common on these boards now.

Once we are settled in I would like to come out and meet up with everyone.

Thanks for the info.

Nice Rides. Welcome to the area. I'm just down south of Leesburg in Haymarket. Fairly new to the area as well.
Just went to my first Tysons meet a couple of weeks ago and lot's of great people.
