Last night after taken care of calibrating Berks fuel sending unit Being the nice guy that I am I drove the car to his house after 5:30 to him there. On my way out we get on 66 and going with traffic 50mph or so. Getting to the 234 Manassas exit there was a trooper getting back on from the break down lane. Not even 1 minute after he is on my *** and pulling me over. I'm pissed at this point since I was not doing a thing. So he approaches the car and asks the usual lic and regs. So I barely cracked the window open and I told him to explain why I was being pulled over. Very politely he says, I'll be glad to. Your exhaust is to loud, the window tint is too dark and that windshield banner. These are all violations. I will be with shortly I am going to give you 3 summons for the infractions. I am like holy f-ing ****. I'm getting 3 tickets for being a nice guy. So i told the trooper that the car was not mine and it was not fair that I am getting punished for the owners obsession with noise. I explained to him that the owner and neighbor have a competition going on as to who had the loudest car and can blow each other house down. He looks at me like I have been drinking or something. I told him that it was the truth and to cut me a break. So he went back to his cruiser and a few minutes later he comes back and says he is going to let me go with a warning and that I am responsible for what ever vehicles i would drive,and have to make sure that they are compliant.
What a croak. A friend who is a Loudon deputy said that it would not hold in court.
Moral to the story is do not be a nice guy and drive your friends car.

 

That's pretty funny. Berk's exhaust is pretty much equivalent to a jet.

 

That cracks me up. This sounds like something that would happen to me.

 

You fail to mention when you pulled over waiting for Jimmy that you had a PW Cop pull up behind you as well asking what's up......

 

They like pulling over loud cars out here!!!

 

Hmmm, well in FL we have no state or county emissions, lax window tint laws, only rear plates and no county or state stickers.

We are living here while I work on a contract therefore I am still a FL resident with FL plates and my cars are still registered permanently to a valid FL address. Unless we decide to stay here for good I plan to keep it that way. I have done this same thing while in GA, TX, and VA Beach back in 98-99.
