Anyone in the VA/DC/MD area have a CLS55??

I am starting to do research on my next car and currently I am debating between an E60 BMW M5 or a Mercedes Benz CLS55. I have found a couple at dealerships within 60 miles to test drive and will be doing that soon to get a feel for both options. I do not plan on buying the car until early 2011. This is a change for me because normally I go out and buy what sparks my attention. I want to really consider my options this time so I am starting early.
If there are any CLS55 owners out there please give me your thoughts on the car. I have talked to a few E55 owners and they are pleased performance wise. That is good to know because I do like to mod my cars and both the M5 and CLS55 allow for plenty of upgrades.

Thanks in advance for any input.

CLS all the way... never owned one but relatively qulaified opinion knowing both cars pretty well

The supercharged engine is way modifiable and capable of way way way more, plenty suspension & braking mods out there too...and ride and interior fit & finish etc. don't even bother comparing or you may well end up saying something inflamatory to some BMW fan / salesperson

Just if you have to have a clutch pedal CLS ain't happening

B/w a 55 charged or 63 motor it would be a tough call for me but prob. go with the 55 even if means older car esp. if planning to modify

Hit up Pejman (GT650-25) on this board (he's local, lives in South Riding down the street from Ivan's shop and knows Ivan too). I think he's planning on selling it as well.

Great info guys, thanks. I may just do that Berk. I wouldn't be a buyer for him right now but at least I may be able to get some info from him.

I owned an E36 M3 in the past and do really like them. On paper I really like the M3 as well but the CLS just seems more classy. I will still have my Audi S4 for my 4 door, 6 speed, sport sedan when needed.

I think the main think behind this car is its beauty...the design is simply striking and 9/10 folks on the street agree. Not all car people will think its the hottest but the majority of folks you meet will

I love the look you have there. What are the specs on those wheels? If I remember correctly, they were 24s right? Did you do any suspension mods?
What makes you want to sell it? Also, what other mods do you have done to it?
Thanks

Here is a better pic of it...

24"? HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

No man, they were 20" 360 Forged Straight 5 wheels 11" wide on the rear with Nitto Invos.

Had CF front and rear lip/diffuser, lowering module and Intakes.

Sold it to buy another toy BUT I didnt want to sell it, however in order to create a strong business relationship with the buyer which I needed I let her go

Sorry to hear you don't own her anymore, I would like to see her again.
For some reason I thought you had 24s, that makes me feel better because that would be overboard.
What if anything did you do to the suspension? You said you had a lowering module, I am not sure what that is.
