Cars and Coffee - Great Falls, VA
Fairfax BMW took care of me. Yes my total was just under $2000 but it was done by a factory trained BMW tech with all new BMW parts with a warranty. I am still fairly new to this area so at 6:30AM in the morning when I am sitting on the side of the road with a car that won't start my options are limited. If I had been at home in Tampa I could have called a number of shops I know and trust who could have came and picked me up.
My day didn't get better after this issue this morning. My 10 month old daughter decided to grab one of my surround sound speakers and hit herself in the head. That accident caused her 1st ER trip
Oh well......... The turn out looks like it was great. I will make it back out some time in the near future.

That Audi URQ is AMAZING! I didn't go to Cars and Coffee yesterday, but I did see it driving through Vienna by chance. I used to own an Audi 90 and always dreamed of swapping in the I-5 20VT engine with various RS2/Porsche goodies, but I didn't have the funds at the time and the car is now sold. I would LOVE to talk to the owner!
TMAC buddy sorry to hear of your day bro, keep your head up things will get better for you, but yeah I agree with Mark your bill seemed a little excessive....sorry about your daughter hope everything worked out for you there, and maybe your ER bill was slightly less than your BMW bill
Tonk...I agree with you that the Renault 2.0T is wicked cool .... appeals to me in the same way an R32, Abarth, or Cosworth Focus does...
Chipster you definately have a fantastic Diablo...I always loved that body style - it was the last of the big real lamborghini v12 cars from the Muira, Countach era...prior to Audi's rendition of the next v12, the Murcialago. What's more wicked then the 21's is the size of the steamrollers out back, 375's right?
...now that's a cause for tire envy if there ever was such a thing!!!
good times guys, looks like there was plenty of it

That Renault is bad ***. LeCar on steroids!
I remember when those cars were out, and they were heralded in the press but you never saw them around U.S. French car mfg.s seem to pretty much dis the U.S. market all together, except Nissan by surrogate. Every French car I've ever driven handeled phenominally. Friend of mine had a pumped up Fuego ways back and it was a beast, a little silly looking kinda made it even cooler.
Peugeot had a mini-Monster similar to that Renault in same era. I think I actually used to read more about the Peogeot. Looks close enuff might be the same car?? Peugeot put the beat-down big time on Audi in LeMans Prototype this year.... sure would be nice if those big-boy teams came to Balt. race..... unfortunately prob. never gonna happen.

Thanks everyone. I will find someone over here in Alexandria in the near future I am sure. As for my daughter, she is doing fine now. The doc decided not to use stitches because he felt skin glue would work. So far all is well.
See you all in the next few weeks. I should return on Nov 5th

Thanks -- the black Porsche definitely got my attention!
It's not obvious from my rear shot, but the spoiler, like the hood, appears to be carbon fiber. I've seen this car before (recognized the plate), and I'm fairly sure these are new additions.
