Cool.....Scott - I'm trying to get Summit Main as the track. As for when, I'll keep everyone in the loop. May not be until 2011, but will try to pull together sooner. It's all dependent on their availability and everyone else's. It's not easy to pull something like this together, and I will most likely need to collect everyone's money ahead of time.

This is a great group of guys so far so I'm really excited.

1.) Berk / Boochook / Twin Turbo'd 996 C4S
2.) Chris / SEAN 996 / 996tt
3.) Mike / Fraggle / Immaculate 928
4.) Gunther / Gunther / Protomotive 996TT
5.) Gunther / "Gunther's Buddy" / Guessing the Lapis Blue Modded 6TT he picked up in MN
6.) Mick / Exlondoner / SICK BWR Exige - Heavily Modded w/ a British Accented Exhaust note
7.) Don / DonDon / HOPEFULLY a 7GT3RS, otherwise we'll settle for the modded M3
8.) Scott / Scott in SS MD / 996TT or M Coupe.
9.)

Get in touch with, Blackbenzz, I think. He does a lot of MIR private rentals. He may have some info for you for Summit as well.

Berk, this is a great idea and it would be very cool if it all worked out. I just have a couple questions about track time. You said there would be four sessions of four groups, so everyone gets to hit the track four times. I know FATT the sessions are 20 minutes, how much time per session do you think this will be? Will there also be driver meetings? and how will the groups be split up? based on experience? Very interested, just curious!

Yes, that's the plan. There will be plenty of track time. Obviously, dependent on the number of folks attending (I think we need a MINIMUM of 20 or so to make it about the right $$$ figure), but I'm sure one person can rent the track for all that money....hahaha.....regardless, yes, whatever the four groups at four sessions would be, we'd split that amongst all the people there. So four groups at four sessions is like 80 cars, so we'd get 4x the track time each. As for driver meetings, absolutely, I would like to have that as well where we can each discuss our techniques, areas of improvement and anything else. Groups should be split by experience level (which I'll try to figure out but am also open to suggestions).

I'd like for us to come up with our day all together so all input will be taken in to consideration.

This really does sound like a solid plan, if it all pans out it should be a terrific day.

I'd like to say that I'm 99% in and fund out what the little Exige can do after the stage 2 install.

Great. Thanks Stefen.

I am coming to the understanding, that the cost (of insurance mostly) does weigh heavily on folks having racing licenses, however, I'm still awaiting the proposal to be sent to me. I know they have a FATT event today, and given this was the week of Labor Day, hopefully I'll see the proposal next week to share with everyone here to gain interest.

OK - got the update guys. Here's the latest. ALL IN, including the track rental, corner workers, medic/ambulance and insurance will cost $10,000. And we will have the track to ourselves, BUT BUT BUT, we will be organized in fashion. They have a couple dates in October and November still open. I need to gauge interest as to whether or not people are still interested. I am, and if so, here's the details.

I want to point out this does include some form of catering (food and beverage - non-alcoholic) for the drivers that attend:

20 guys = $500/person
25 guys = $400/person
30 guys = $333/person
The Dates are as follows:
Thursday, October 14th
Tuesday, November 9th
Monday, November 15th

We can do more guys, but that's when it gets a little crazy. I would like to set up a car meet where if people are interested we just collect everything right there up front and I can just hand it right over to Summit or something. We can have a driver's meeting a few weeks in advance so people don't have to overpay or we will not have issues with underpayment. I've done this before. In the past, I've collected more, kept everyone in the loop with wide open communication then refunded folks EVENLY who overpaid as we got more people. Would the folks who are still interested like to set up a date and time to talk this through in terms of interest still so I can get back to Summit Main early. I can work on maybe bringing some vendors out as well to "SHARE" in the cost so we pay less. Granted yes, BSR and other clubs are cheaper, but the thing is we will have full responsibility and direction as to how we want the day to go with as much time as possible. Let me know. Thanks.
