Attorney recommendation in MD/DC/VA

Hi all,
I need a referral for an attorney to obtain diminished value for my Aston Martin.
While parked in my condo garage, my neighbor backed up and bumped into it in Sept 2008. The front grille was bent and the left front fender and hood were cracked (1/4 inch each) I was fuming and went after her insurance company to pay for the claim. They initially wanted to pay for "repair" but I pressed them to have these parts replaced. They footed the $6500 bill
Fast forward two years later....I want to trade the Aston in and get a BMW. Since the carfax on the Aston shows "items ordered after accident or incident" the most I have been able to get for the Aston is $68k. This car retails for high 80s to low 90s, especially since I have purchased the Aston power pack upgrade ($7800)
This represents a significant depreciation of the value of the car, especially since I had nothing to do with it.

Has anyone had any experiences with obtaining money for "diminished value" and if so, I would greatly appreciate a referral to an appropriate attorney.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

If you signed any papers to get them to pay the $6,500 you are done. That agreement will prevent you from going after them and maybe even your neighbor....there may also be a statute of limitations

Good luck with that. You'll spend more in attorney's fees than you'll get back on the car. Your own insurance company might give you some depreciation, but no guarantees there. The power pack isn't likely to get you anything back in resale, and depending on how many miles are on your car, $68k for a trade-I'm really isn't bad for a 3 yr old car. You are definitely not going to get low $90s on a trade in 2008. That's not realistic.

I didn't imply a trade in near what the car retails for; however there is about a 10k discrepancy here.
I would like to hear some more perspectives from some folks who know a thing or two about this

BTW, here is Wholesale Price for your vehicle. Might give you some idea what dealers buy these cars for. Maybe their offer isn't bad after all. I don't know how much they offered you.

Thank you for understanding and thank you for printing out the wholesale numbers. What are the codes after the mileage refer to? i.e. below 8g, a, yes/no??

My car has 8900 miles. One dealer offered me 68k and another 60k

I think your problem is that you are trading such an amazing car for a bmw! I hope its a nice M model, because your aston is GORGEOUS! i would just try and sell is private party, and find a buyer who understands the situation of the car, just provide all insurance paperwork/etc. It will be cheaper than hiring an attorney!
