Coils for 06 Cayenne S

Has anyone replaced their coils for the first time under extended warranty (i.e. they replace it even though there's nothing wrong with it)? I've gotten it while back and called HBL (5 mins away from home) and they told me that they won't do it unless it fails.

I just wanted to make sure if it's just HBL or anywhere else. I ask myself if I should keep taking my car to HBL after hearing horror stories from HBL from other people but it's so...convenient!

My 08 Cayman is in the shop right now having two coils replaced. Very strange car drove great saturday night and sunday morning I could barely get the thing up to 45mph it was misfiring so bad. I limped her into the dealer sunday afternoon and the car is ready for pick up now. My car only has 25k mikes on it so I was surprised this happened.

hm...i was actually referring to cayenne models with extended warranty on coils. perhaps it was also for caymans? the car is running fine without a problem. i just wanted to replace it so i dont have to wait til it actually fails.

No warranty is going to replace a part until it actually fails.
