June 18th is rediculous...4 events so far I've come accross for Saturday June 18th - dunno which one to do...

Morning - early start at Katie's - this doesn't interfere with anything since it's so damn early and over by 9am...

then...

1) GTR cruise and BBQ
2) MPACT huge show and event over at Camden Yards Sport Complex, Inner Harbor Bmore - this is a fabulous venue, and it's close to home lol!!
3) Potomac PCA - Porsche event in Annapolis
4) HyperFest

... and who knows what else...

ahh the dillemma!!! I have no idea what to do. I've narrowed it down to the first 3...if the GTR event was another day or happened on the day it was supposed to that would make the choice a little easier ...heck they all sound like great time each of the choices!

 

Unfortunately I have to be out of town and will miss it all. You going to Ocean City Saturday?? I'm meeting up and rolling out with Val, and probably meet up with some other 6speeders down there.

As for OC I'm out...too much of a comittment...I'm going to Katies in the morning, then gonna help a buddy put on a JRZ suspension on his 997 GT2 on his garage lift...

I registered for Mpact. Haven't seen any immediate participation yet. Hopefully there is more hype around this.

 

I think I will be attending Hyperfest, love a good excuse to make it to the track!

 

I will be checking out Option #2 - Mpact in Baltimore. I think there's a meetup in Tysons before people head up there.

 

going to the track is always fun but Hyoerfest tries to stuff 5 lbs of crap into a 3 lb bag...last time I was a HFest I was racing in GTS Challenge and we had red flags which stopped the race TWICE on both sprint races due to rollovers and incidents as a direct result of trying to put too many race groups of uneven lap times ontot he track at the same time. I love a great race with tons of action but when you stuff 60 cars onto the standing grid on Summit Main that is not a good call, it not only causes bonehead racing but also screws with timing and scoring.

 

best part of hyperfest is the drinking and carrying on at night afterwards.... that said i won't be attending this year

maybe not from 6speedonline, but the organizer anticipates over 300+ participants all over the East Coast, and from Chicago. He's trying to make a ///MFest, except for the East Coast. Since this is the first one for the East Coast, if it is successful, he will be taking it to a venue w/ a track next year.

there will be a caravan for those in NOVA leaving from Tysons II on June 18th, meeting a 9am.

 

I am leaning toward this MPact event as well. It's going to be mostly BMWs but I think there will be other Euros there as well, should make for a fun time. AND it's pretty local to me lol

 

i'm doing the PCA event at annapolis with my dad, his RS america is in the show and i am bringing his '03 996tt for the show. than after the banquet we are headed to our lake house and will be at hyperfest sunday to watch some friends race in the 944 cup and all. kinda bumed to miss sat hyperfest cause thats when all the fun stuff happens. last year the group of drunks getting tased in the stands was awesome lol
