I guess this is day old news.... but pretty F-ed up..... GT-3 launched into woods engulfed in flames. What a bummer.

"A police report indicated that Dunn was most likely speeding in his 2007 Porsche 911 GT3, which was destroyed in the wreck. "Upon arrival, police located one vehicle in the road and in the woods that was fully engulfed in flames," the report said. "DUI" was not indicated in the report."

 

"friends claim Ryan had six or more drinks before getting behind the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 RS."

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn was the driver in this morning's fatal crash ... this according to cops who also say Dunn's car was "fully engulfed in flames" when officials arrived to the scene.

The West Goshen Township Police Department says officers found Dunn's 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 "off the road and in the woods."

Both Dunn and his passenger "died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident." Cops will release more information on the passenger once officials can positively identify the body.

Cops say "speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident."

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

As TMZ previously reported, Dunn tweeted a photo of himself drinking with friends hours before the accident.

 

I have a hard time feeling bad for him if he was in fact drinking and driving

 

Now I can't tell from that shot if it was actually an RS or not (it really isn't funny.... please dont scold me).

Cars can be very dangerous things, esp. fast ones, esp. drinking.... whether that was the case or not here

 

I have nothing clever to say. Sad news.

 

 

This sounds like the ultimate Jackass prank...however unfortunately it is not a prank. Drinking and driving is certainly risky business, and in this case it caused fatalities.

With 400 or 500 or even 600 hp on tap in todays high perfromance cars straight from the showroom it amplifies the potential for destruction in drunk driving incidents.

My solution - if you're out drinking, take a cab and leave the car at home...if you drive the car and end up drunk...pick it up the next moring or get a hotel room...or have a sober friend or DD drive the car
