My girlfriend recently graduated from towson university with a degree in art history (and a high gpa), and she's having a terrible time finding ANYTHING at all, especially in her field of interest...

I know the job market sucks pretty badly right now, and tons of people are having issues finding/keeping/holding jobs, but I'd imagine she should be able to locate someting at least better than what she has now. She has experience in management, customer service, the automotive industry, shipping and recieving, payroll, etc... and is well qualified for a number of positions in many fields.

If anyone has any contacts, or positions open at a company they work for or own, she would love to apply!

I don't have a position but I did have an old friend that used to buy, sell, coordinate and manage artwork for various businesses in the DC area. She would be in charge of swapping out artwork within law firms, Dr offices, etc. as well as plantings and furniture. If I knew where she worked it would be of help but I don't. Try 'art or print curator', 'business moving relocation services' in job searches online. Hope this is some help.

Sorry to intrude or hijack OP's thread, my wife is also in market for A job. She's been unemployeed for over a month. She is looking to get into an HR position.

 

Ken we are currently sharing office space with a small Engineering company whose admin is leaving at the end of this week, her last day is friday. They are looking for an admin/receptionist and have an ad out to staff the position. The duties are receptionist/admin as well as document, marketing material, and assisting with email and call campaigns when needed.
