Guys,

At the 2nd Amish run...I floated the idea at my table about getting us together for a ski trip during the upcoming winter season. Obviously the fancy cars will probably be staying at home...but that's no reason not to cause chaos on the slopes!

The potential is there for a day trip (Liberty, Wisp, Whitetail) or something longer where we rent out a spot for the weekend (drinking and merriment to ensue).

I know it's a bit early yet (I feel like a Walmart exec putting up xmas trees now)...but planning is of the essence.

Thoughts?

 

I don't ski or anything, but the drinking part sounds good.

 

I'm game! My snowboard is waxed and ready although I may get new bindings. I am ready to get back on the slopes!

Liberty .. preferrably not
WhiteTail .. I was there at least 5 times this past season.
Wisp .. never gone, will be going this year.

 

A few friends and I have rented a place out on deep creek for the weekend in the past, always enjoy the trip. I barely ski.... but always have fun trying!

 

renting a place in deep creek is doable if we get enough people.

I have never skied in my life before...but would love to give it a try...

a few of us here are brown and can have a hard time with winter sports, but I am up for giving it a shot!

 

I would love to do it. I have a few ski trips already booked in the mid to later winter, so getting warmed up would be great.

 

I'm Jewish, and we're more likely to own the ski resort than actually ski.

I've been skiing since I was 10.

 

I'm dark(er) brown and can snowboard pretty well, only been on the board for 2 seasons. Once you get passed and accept the fact you ARE going to fall most if not the whole first day, you'll be fine. After that, it is addicting!
