Kenny:
Sounds great - unfortunately, I'll be out of town that weekend, but there should be a very good variety of cars at Katie's that weekend! Enjoy it...
I'll make it down to Richmond some weekend...
Thanks,
Bob Collum

Katie's, 06/30/12 (Weather Edition)
Weather has been the big concern in this area the last few days - we have had a couple of days of 100+ heat index, and last night a storm blew through with 70+ mph winds, downing many large branches and trees, along with power lines.
The question this morning - could we even get to Katie's? The answer - yes, if you persevere. Those coming from 495 via Georgetown Pike found large trees down across the road, but many doubled back and found other ways to get here. Luckily, the temperature in the early morning was in the mid to high 70's, so it was bearable.
Here are some pictures of tree damage I saw on the way to & from Great Falls. It was a short morning for many of us, as the entire area of Great Falls Village had no power, so - no coffee.

Katie's, 06/30/12 - Part 2
Meanwhile, with all that debris on the roads, and some roads completely blocked - many got thru. The first picture is of Katie's lot... at 6:20AM!
