So what day is better Sat. or Sun. I will be taking a back roads run to SP if anyone is interested in tagging along.
saturday is probably the better day for overall experience. sunday (only) offers on track touring laps at lunch time for a $20 donation-sign up will start around 10am as scott mentioned, hyperdrives were full but there is always the chance of no shows--think it's $50 and will get you a classroom session and a hot track session with an instructor. if interested i would suggest checking for open spots at the NASA registration table, which is usually set up under the covered parking spots near chez summit, as early as possible on saturday. if not interested in doing touring laps, i would say saturday is probably the better of the two. as i mentioned previously, there is no actual door-to door racing this weekend--just DE, individual time trials and hyperdrives--so while there will be cars on track all day both days it's alot more laid back environment then a full race weekend.
OK... I will plan on being there on Saturday... If anyone wants to meet up and do a back roads run to SP the answer in this thread or send me a message.
scott--i'll be there in DE3 i know nico is in and running DE2. i've got a large enclosed trailer so anybody going is welcome to paddock with me and make use of the trailer should we need to take shelter from any potential weather elements, etc.
Thanks! There were lots of cool cars out there. Its really something to see these machines move out there on the track vs. where I usually see them out on the roads
