So what's going on here...a group led by fraggle is coming from VA going directly to Kevin's house...seemingly joined by Scott and BobP en route on the highway? So I am assuming this leaves the Bmore group to caravan on their own upto Kevin's place, perhaps meeting and leaving from HV?

This is getting confusing... will there be one consolidated plan or maybe 2 plans or should we all make arrangements and just go on our own?

...any thoughts?

Multiple stops this early can only lead to major arrival delays all around. There are some that want to get the driving done early and get to Kevin's then cruise to the venue. Others may want to start as Kohl's in VA, stop at Ikea in MD, then HV then most likely miss Kevin's and go directly to venue.

I thought I would just join the Fraggle Express and bypass these stops. Since others want to also do this, we now have two pick-up points along 95. I'm cool with it. rt 216 & 95N at 0600. HV(?) & I83 at (?).

This make sense?

Let's make it official. Cut and paste with where you will join the Fraggle Express. Also, if someone can plug in the HV info would be greatly appreciated. This will force you to commit to rendezvous points.

I get what you're saying bud. Just no definitive plan as yet it seems like. In the past we had a set course, a drive leader, and a dfinitive time and location for stops and so forth. I am not sure that this is the case this time. If that is the case it's fine.

Maybe something will be set next week, no biggie. As far as I know I am cruising up to Kevin's with Greg at least, anyone else is free to join I guess.

 

Let's go with Scott's plan of attack.

For the VA crew, let's plan to meet at the Wegmans in Sterling, off Pacific Blvd (those who came to Summit a few weeks ago will know).

Need to nail down specific times.

 

It will be cutting it close if you do a perfect pickup point at 6am at 216 & I95 then head to HV (that's say 45 mins) then pickup at HV shewan rd at say 6:30 or 6:45am...that leaves us 45 min window to get to Kevins...in a perfect world.

If Kevin wants us thee by 7:15 or so we may be looking at arrival closer to 7:30 or 7:45 which is late. Just a thought. Maybe others can chyme in...

 

Sure, whatever works. I got 1hr 30 min from my house= 1hr 15 min expected from 216 to Kevin's. If anyone has a more true estimate then let's nail the times down. Would not want to let the bacon get cold.

 

Oh hell with thought of nice crispy bacon on the mind, heck every man for themselves to high tail it over to Kevs! hahaha

 

....and these Mapquest times are based on Bob P driving style, too.

People are welcome any time after 0700. I'll be there. The food will be on it's way. We'll hang out and enjoy the neighbors peeking out of windows as the exhaust notes roll up the street.

Groups... individuals... just make sure to stop by.

I do think the departure time of 0815 is a good target, but that also has some flexibility to it seeing as how the showground is 40 miles away, mostly highway, and it doesn't open to the public till 1000.

should take less than 45 mins to kev's place from HV so thats why i was thinking a 6:30-6:45 on the fly 83N hook up-- scotty you'll call me when u guys get on 83-- cool?
