Getting tires mounted in Bmore?

Need to mount a set of Mich TB on my new wheels. Don't want to mess up the wheels. Had some bad luck last go around. Just need them mounted ... no balancing. Anyone have a good shop in the area?

I use Ole'Ye tire in elkridge. They have a completely non-touch machine that can handle the extremely stiff run flat sidewalls on my tires.

I always use No limit on bel air road.... partly because I can walk there, also because it's entertaining to people watch there.... but mostly because all they specialize in is expensive bling bling wheels, so they know how NOT to damage my shiznit

Thanks guys. Yeah these tires have a stiff sidewall. They last guy who took my tires off drug the tire machine all around the lip on 3 outta 4 rims because of that. I've heard good things about the first 3 places. Never heard of no limit. Choices ... Ugh. Bob, I think next go around Ill go bigger. Haha.

Thanks guys. Yep, all mounted up. I ended up going to Ye'Old Wheel. They did good. $40 to mount all 4. Not bad. Plus they were the closest.

I was thinking coffee table ... Planters, gezzzz.

Yep Ken nailed it ... for the RSR. They are Mich TB15 26/61 and 23/62. Will go 29/61 and 18/60 next go around. Played it safe this go around to ensure they would fit. Didnt know that you can stretch the 18/60 on a 9 inch wheel. Makes the dia ratio front to rear alittle bit better.

What's this RSR project you have going on? What series are you building for, what chassis is it? Very cool. RSR is epic!

86 Carrera chassis ... with full long hood backdate. Inside and out. Going for 1973 2.8 RSR. Going to have to look at it really hard to tell its not an orig 73 chassis. Metal RSR flares vs turbo profile flares. Sunroof delete for slick top. 95 993 engine with PMO Carbs for the retro look. 15 inch Fuchs RSR wheels. Car is going to scream.

Just a few details.

Been a project for a while. Starting to come together now that I can work on it alot more regularly with a garage in Bmore now. Wanted a winter/fall car as the cobra doesn't have a top ... .

^^^ awesome project! The RSR is an epic 911, so much history and race wins... Best parts and a remarkable lineage in racing...the chassis to spec a 2.8 1973 vintage is going to be amazing bud, I see you have the cleckos on the flares tacked into place.

You should start a progress thread, would love to hear how it's coming along and the journey toward completion. Any word on paint schemes/livery? Engine specs or upgrades? Gearbox... Suspension ... Etc...

Thanks Sunir. Yeah, I had a thread going but dont end up updating it enough .... Engine will get the typical mods for the 993 engine. Crank will get cross drilled and case shuffle pinned. On the fence on with the rods. Depending on how they look they might get pauter or carrilo rods. ARP hardware. Other then that it going to be a pretty standard 3.6. PMO 50 carbs and this bad little engine should push out 300-325 HP all day.

Im doing a 915 mag based trans. Spray bars and all the wevo beefed up parts. Should be fine with the torque the 3.6 will put out.

Going to keep the car on torsion bars. Coil overs are nice but these car were never designed to use coil overs with out having them tied into a full cage. I dont want a full cage. Car will have chassis stiffining mods on the front and rear strut mounts typical with the orig RSR.

Paint scheme is going to be of the 70's ear. Thought about a doing a martini paint theme but it was a bit much for me. Still under wraps right now.

RS light weight interior with drivers lollipop seat and passenger RSR seat. Toppefd with a nice RSR roll bar. Thats coming this week.
