Yeah I think you're on to something...clearly there is an "optimal" shape which is dictated by nature. Packaging and design make up the difference in physical appearance. If it weren't for art, we'd all be driving egg shaped vehicles.

 

Nah ... its all in the Golden Ratio. Nature and Art usually share this same ratio. Funny what we all think is attractive and sexy come down to a aspect ratio. Really funny when you sit down and look at it.
